Earth Day

Maid of Earth Day

April 25, 2022April 25, 2022 Jane Swansonair, aisling, Earth Day, forest, Garden, NaPoWriMo, Nature, Poetry, trees2 Comments

Out of the mist

in silver glow

comes a voice

I did not know

This earth is mine

tend it well

all firs and the pine

cedars too

A breath for me

and a breath for you

NaPoWriMo Day 25 prompt to write an aisling

Maid of Earth Day

Earth

I went outside to till the earth

my shovel & my hoe

but this soil with its clumps

needs to be held

squeezed until it lets go

& falls into fine particles

worthy of seed
