I folded and creased the paper
to make a fuselage
long and slender
overlapped side wings
perfect aerodynamics
hoping it would stay aloft
that it would be lifted
by a current of air
and fly forward
tailwind taking it further
before the landing

I used to LOVE making paper airplanes as a kid, Jane… my Dad taught me how, and I still associate the memory with him…

Love it. All those hopes and dreams we pin on a paper airplane. I also wrote a poem about a paper airplane once, similar idea: https://jewishyoungprofessional.wordpress.com/2021/04/11/its-just-paper/
