  1. Lovely piece Jane – full of irony – for a piece on ‘endings’ it’s like the lines just get started and then drift off. The repetition of the single isolated ‘I’ alone on the line says so much – the atomised individual. I particularly liked ‘fugue state / police state / dream state’ – and the last stanza – resigned / angry / despairing and ultimately indifferent. So good.
