Petroglyph National Monument has a rock trail you have to go up to see the petroglyphs. I love petroglyphs but not hard climb. The three year old did better on this hike than me!

Normally, I don’t go on strenuous trails, but I wish I had better shoes when I climbed the Manitou Incline with my daughter near Colorado Springs although what I wore was adequate. Going down the trail was beautiful.

I usually love going down the trail too. This trail was even hard going down because of the size of the rocks and nothing to hold on to. I am getting a walking stick.
